CTMRF is recognized as a Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (SIRO) by DSIR, Government of India, 

The Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (SIRO) recognition is granted by the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR) under the Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India. This recognition is awarded to non-profit research institutions, like CTMRF who are engaged in scientific and industrial research activities.

CTMRF complies with various obligations required for SIRO recognition. These include the submission of an annual report detailing its R&D activities, audited financial statements, and updates on its research infrastructure and manpower. CTMRF maintains its SIRO recognition for more than three decades, by engaging in genuine, non-commercial scientific research in pediatric medicine.

The SIRO recognition of CTMRF helps to promote and support research and development (R&D) in the field of medical science.  CTMRF through its SIRO recognition, receives 35(1)(ii) exemption under the Income Tax Act, for the donations received to support pediatric research and enhanced credibility
